SEO Audit

A full SEO audit you can actually act on.

A deep, prioritised review of your site, competitors and search market — delivered as a ranked action plan, not a 200-tab spreadsheet nobody opens.

Why most SEO audits are useless

Most audits are an output of a tool. Mine is the output of someone reading them, applying judgement, and writing what’s actually worth doing.

Not auto-generated

The findings are mine, written by hand, after I’ve spent time inside the site. Tools inform the work — they don’t replace it.

Ranked by impact

Every recommendation scored on what it’ll move and how hard it is. You know exactly what to ship first.

Built to be shipped

Recommendations written for the people who’ll do the work — developers, writers, or you — not as theoretical wishlists.

What’s covered

The full picture. Everything that matters for visibility in Google, Maps and AI search — reviewed in one engagement.

  • 01
Technical auditCrawl, indexation, render, speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile, site architecture, internal linking, log files where useful.
  • 02
On-page auditTitles, meta, headings, content quality, intent alignment, internal links, page-level conversion paths.
  • 03
Content auditIntent mapping, gap analysis, cannibalisation, decay, opportunities for consolidation or expansion.
  • 04
Competitive auditThree to five direct competitors. What they’re ranking for, where they’re winning, where they’re vulnerable.
  • 05
Backlink profileAuthority, link quality, toxic links, link gap vs competitors, anchor distribution.
  • 06
AI search visibilityHow your brand currently appears (or doesn’t) in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews — and what’s needed to change that.
  • 07
Schema and entity reviewExisting structured data, conflicts, missing types, entity recognition in Google’s knowledge graph.

What you walk away with

Documents you’ll actually use, not deliverables that sit in a folder.

Ranked action plan

Every recommendation, prioritised by impact and effort, with a clear owner and rationale. The document the work runs off.

Executive summary

A short, plain-English read for stakeholders who won’t open the full document. Five pages, the headlines and the spend.

Loom walkthrough

A recorded video walking through the findings — useful for sharing internally with people who weren’t on the review call.

Review call

A sixty-minute call going through the plan together. Questions answered, priorities pressure-tested.

Fit

Who this audit is for.

A real audit is forensic and takes time. It's the wrong product for some buyers.

Right fit

You’re the kind of client this works for

  • Sites live two years or more with traffic that should be higher
  • Technical issues you suspect but haven't been able to pin down
  • A team or partner who can act on the prioritised fix list
  • A buyer who wants the truth, not a flattering report
Not the right fit

This probably isn’t the right service for you

  • You want a free or £500 audit
  • You expect a generic checklist PDF
  • You won't act on findings
  • Brand-new sites with no data yet

How it works

Step 01

Brief & access

You share commercial context and grant access to GA, GSC and the site itself.

Step 02

Deep dive

I spend the time inside your site, competitors and market. Usually two to three weeks.

Step 03

Plan written

I write the audit by hand — not generated from a template — with clear, actionable recommendations.

Step 04

Review call

We walk through it together. From here, you ship the work yourself, with your team, or with me on retainer.

Common questions

How long does it take?

Three to four weeks from brief to delivered plan. Faster if the site is small; longer if there’s a lot of historical complexity to unpick.

What access do you need?

Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, the CMS (read-only is fine for the audit), and ideally any third-party tools you use such as Ahrefs or Semrush.

Can I just have a technical audit?

Yes — if that’s the right scope. The technical SEO service covers crawl, render, speed and architecture in isolation.

Does this include implementation?

No — the audit is the strategy. Most clients move onto an SEO retainer afterwards so I can implement the plan with them.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes — happy to. Standard for regulated sectors like law, healthcare and financial services.
