Senior SEO consulting, without an agency wrapped around it.
Strategic direction, second opinions and prioritisation for in-house teams, founders and agencies who need senior expertise — not another full-service retainer.
When you’d want this
SEO consulting is the right shape when you’ve got the people to do the work, but need the right direction to point them in.
You have an in-house team
A marketer, a developer, a content lead — you don’t need another pair of hands, you need a senior strategist setting the priorities.
You’re an agency
You handle the client relationship and most of the delivery, but want specialist input on AI search, schema, entity work or technical strategy.
You want a second opinion
Your current agency or in-house team is doing fine. You want an honest, expert review of whether “fine” is actually as good as it should be.
What’s included
Shaped to what you actually need — not a fixed deliverables list designed to fill hours.
- 01Strategy sessionsWorking calls with you (and your team) to agree direction, priorities and the next 90 days of work.
- 02Audits as neededTargeted reviews of the things that matter: technical health, content performance, competitive position, AI visibility.
- 03Roadmap and prioritisationA clear, ranked plan of what to do, in what order, and what each piece of work should move.
- 04Vendor and agency reviewHonest assessment of your current providers’ work — what they’re doing well, what they’re missing, what to push them on.
- 05Direct accessA Slack or email line for in-flight questions — not a ticketing system.
Who I work best with.
Selective by design. Four clients at a time. Honest about who this is for and who it isn't.
You’re the kind of client this works for
- UK firms with clear positioning and an in-house team or partner to execute
- You want senior strategy, not a junior playing back templates
- You can commit to a 6–12 month engagement and act on what we agree
- You sell on expertise and outcomes, not on being the cheapest
This probably isn’t the right service for you
- You want SEO done in 30 days
- You're looking for the cheapest provider
- You won't make changes to the site or content
- You expect ranking guarantees

Common questions
How is consulting different from a retainer?
Retainers include implementation — I do the work, on your site. Consulting is strategy and direction. You (or your team, or your agency) execute. Many clients start with consulting and move to a retainer once the plan is shaped.
Will you work with our existing agency?
Yes — if they’re open to it. The best outcomes are when everyone’s pulling in the same direction. If they’re not, I’ll tell you.
How much time do I get each month?
Enough to do the work properly. I don’t sell timesheets — I sell outcomes. Typical consulting clients use two to four hours of working sessions a month plus ad-hoc access.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No. Consulting is monthly, no minimum term. Most clients stay six to twelve months because the work is moving things forward, not because they have to.
